Sunday School for the 2017-2018 school year will be starting on September10. After a fun summer looking at what different candy bars can remind us of our faith, we are ready to move on to our new curriculum. This year our children are using a curriculum from Group Publishing called Dig In!, and will do a year long overview of the Bible.

Digging Into the Bible in One Year takes kids on a whirlwind journey from Genesis to Revelation. Kids experience a relationship with God through the eyes of ordinary Bible people. Kids will discover that they’re a lot like people God has always loved and worked through.

Our pre-k and kindergarten class will be taught by Amy Colman. First and Second grades will be taught by Janet Jones and Mary Beth Smith. Third through fifth will be taught by Alex Handley and Bayush Alford.

Our youth will continue with the curriculum they used last year. This class will be taught by Bruce Cook and is open to all youth. On the first Sunday of each month, Communion Sunday, class will not meet, and the youth are encouraged to attend worship. The other three or four weeks class will meet as always. The youth will start off the fall with a look at putting God first. They will be looking at King David, Naaman, and Daniel.

As always, our children and youth will start off in worship and leave for classes after the children’s sermon. We are looking forward to a great year!
